How we Collect Information
We collect information through our website. We also collect information on behalf of our clients, and process personal information given to us by our clients, in each case so that we can provide services to them.
Our Scout® product used by our clients may collect information using cookies and web beacons (also known as clear GIFs) or other website technology. Web beacons are used in combination with cookies to gather information about how website visitors are using our clients’ products.
How We Use the Information We Collect
We use the information we collect through our website to help maintain accurate accounts, to answer your inquiries, to market our services and products, and to help make our website more useful to you. As a general rule, unless we have your consent, we will not sell, trade, or disclose to third parties personal information gathered online about you. The only exceptions to this rule are: (1) when we work with affiliated businesses, partners, or agents to develop a relationship with you or to perform services for you on our behalf; or (2) as may be required by lawful requests by public authorities such as through a subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, or in the case of imminent physical harm to you or others. In the case of (1) above, we require the relevant businesses, partners, or agents to adhere to our policies regarding the use and protection of your personal information.
When we are given personal information by our clients, that information is the confidential information of our clients and we do not disclose it to third parties unless specifically instructed to do so by our client or as may be required by law.
You may choose to “opt out” of (a) any sharing of personal information by us (except for when required by legal process, as described in section (2) of “How We Use the Information We Collect,” above); or (b) our use of personal information you feel is incompatible with the purposes for which it was originally collected or authorized by you, by contacting us by email or by regular mail at the addresses shown in “Contact Us” below.

U.S.-EU Privacy Shield Framework
Our accountability for personal data that we receive under the Privacy Shield and subsequently transfer to a third party is described in the Privacy Shield Principles. If we contract with third parties to process personal data on our behalf and those third parties violate the Principles, we will remain responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles unless we are not responsible for the event giving rise to the violation.
We will work with you to resolve any complaints about our collection or use of your personal information.
